Kohalpur Buspark

The Kohalpur Buspark Development Project aims to upgrade and modernize the existing public transportation infrastructure in Kohalpur Municipality to improve traffic management, enhance passenger comfort, and support regional mobility. Located at a strategic junction along the East-West Highway (Mahendra Highway), the buspark serves as a major transit point for inter-district and inter-provincial travel in western Nepal.

The project involves the construction of a well-planned, efficient, and passenger-friendly bus terminal facility with modern amenities. The infrastructure will be designed to accommodate local, regional, and long-distance buses, with dedicated bays, ticket counters, waiting areas, commercial spaces, and proper sanitation facilities. Key features of the project include:

  • Paved Bus Bays and Parking Areas for organized movement and parking of vehicles.

  • Terminal Building with passenger lounges, ticket counters, an information center, and restrooms.

  • Shops and Commercial Spaces to support local businesses and generate revenue.

  • Drainage and Sewerage Systems to improve environmental health.

  • Street Lighting, Signage, and CCTV Surveillance for safety and night operations.

  • Landscaping and Green Zones to enhance aesthetics and provide comfort.

  • Dedicated Entry and Exit Points for efficient traffic flow.
