RCC Overhead Water Tank Nepalgunj

The Construction of 450 cum Capacity R.C.C. Overhead Tank under the Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC), Nepalgunj Branch, was successfully completed within 1 year. This project is located in Ward No. 19 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City. The project was implemented as part of a broader initiative to improve the drinking water supply system in the region, which also includes the development of a pump house, production and distribution pipelines.

This infrastructure is a major milestone in addressing the long-standing water scarcity issues in the area. With the completion of the overhead tank, local residents are now directly benefiting from an uninterrupted supply of safe and clean drinking water, delivered directly to their individual household taps.

The project not only meets the rising water demand of the growing population but also supports the government’s vision of “Ek Ghar Ek Dhara” (One Tap per Household)—a national slogan promoting universal access to drinking water. In addition to enhancing the quality of life, the project contributes to the institutional strength of NWSC by increasing its water tariff collection, thereby improving its financial sustainability.

This initiative marks a significant step toward equitable and efficient water service delivery and demonstrates NWSC’s continued commitment to improving public utility services in Banke district.
